The Basics – How to Start…
If you think about your day, there are 3 basic things every human does every day; sometimes without even thinking about them.
You’ve just got to make some healthy lifestyle changes to your basic daily routines. These are simple, doable and easy to stick to changes. It takes 3 weeks of doing something consistently for it to become a habit. The more consistent you are the more your body can adjust to the new changes and the greater the results will be.
We all know our bodies are made up of a heck of a lot of water around 60%.
So why don’t we care more about what’s in the water we’re drinking?
There’s so many brands out there and we all have our usual ‘go-to’. Here’s a few things to be aware of when buying a bottle of water…
- Purified water is water that has been mechanically filtered or processed to remove impurities. Now if you live somewhere with a bad filtration system or your tap water isn’t ‘clean’, then purified water is understandable. However, purified water removes naturally occurring chemicals in water that our body needs such as magnesium and potassium, some very beneficial nutrients.
- This is similar to distilled water. Distilled water lacks naturally occurring minerals like magnesium and calcium that are again, very beneficial to your health.
- Mineral water! As the name so obviously gives away…mineral water is full of MINERALS! Including sulfer, magnesium, calcium all things that are good for you, it creates minerals that your body can’t on its own. Mineral water has also been known to aid your digestion.
Time to implement your first and arguably the most important change to your morning routine…
You can still have the espresso or cup of coffee, however you like it. BUT…before you do, have a tall glass of water.
Hopefully, you’ve just had a good nights sleep. Say you’ve just gone 6 hours of sleeping, you’re body has had no hydration throughout those hours…so give yourself and your body the best start to the day.
*TIP – Add a few slices of cucumber if you really want to feel refreshed and hydrated. The cucumber helps deliver antioxidants, supports healthy skin and can even help lower blood pressure.
